SAMS has a modern, well equipped hostel to accommodate upto 300 boys within the campus. The hostel has a hygienic kitchen and spacious, atmospherically controlled 4000 sqft. dining hall. Backup power generator and telephone facility for all hostel students are also provided. However, SAMS also has separate hostels for girls at a “stone throw” distance from the campus. Other facilities include colour TV, installed in both boys and girls hostels for the recreation and educational point of view. A huge play ground, in front of the boys hostel to facilitate outdoor games such as cricket, football, volley ball, badminton etc. Other recreational activities includes indoor games and reading room. SAMS hostel provides students with a comfortable and clean environment to live in. However, students are also free to make their own arrangements elsewhere, if they so desire. We care for our students, and we care for their parents too. That is why we provide all essential facilities with great sensitivity to help students find a home away from home. At the same time, students are required to strictly adhere to the hostel rules and regulations. Every student must be careful so as not to disturb any other student. This ensures that hostel life is peaceful, and enables students to pursue their academics with the requisite zeal and concentration. At SAMS, we follow the internationally known “Buddy” concept. As part of this, a senior student is designated as a “Buddy” to one of his/her juniors. The role of a “Buddy” is that of a trainer, mentor, guide or philosopher in the life of his/her ward. This adds a unique dimension to hostel life by giving the students a sense of family.

Sport at SAMS is as diverse and wide ranging as its students. Adequate space and arrangements are available at SAMS for different sports activities and all students have free access to a wide range of Outdoor and Indoor sport facilities.

The institute has a range of support services designed to help students to achieve their full potential and get the most out of their studies. These form a coordinated network of support, and are an important part of the overall student experience. Support services aim to be accessible to students and responsive to their needs. Student support offers advice on many welfare issues, including finance and funding, entitlement to benefits issues. They also administer the access to learning fund and other hardship funds, and provide extensive support to the students. Student support staffs based at SAMS also oversee induction arrangements for new students and work with departments on and off campus on issues relating to the student experience. Counseling service offers assistance with educational, social, personal promotional concern through confidential individual or group counseling sessions. Academic and study support includes school, department which has a system providing academic support for its students and in addition there is a range of general study-related support including workshops, groups and web-based materials.

At SAMS Campus developing a well- rounded skills base is just as important as yours degree. We aim to equip you with a wide variety of skills above and beyond your academic achievements – critical thinking, entrepreneurship, leadership, flexibility – which enable to excel at whatever you decide to turn your hand to. We encourage you to make the most of your time as an undergraduates through a wide range of extracurricular activities organised throughout the years. Whether you want to get involved in running activities in your college, captaining a sports team, organising charity work or singing in a choir, you will find a wide range of opportunities for joining in. Many of our students find they develop a new passion by trying out a new activity whilst they are undergraduates – the opportunities are endless.
